I absolutely love to carve pumpkins.
It is one of my favorite things to do in the fall, other than playing in a big pile of leaves.
Some people may say it is because I like to get dirty and make a mess.
I would probably have to agree with that.
Getting the seeds out and all the gooey stuff on your hands...
I am a total texture person.
Brandt doesn't agree with me.
Getting dirty is not fun, however I did convince him to put his hand inside the pumpkin for a picture.
The girls on the other hand, are just like their mother.
The three of them collected quite the pile of seeds that Brandt very eagerly reminded me we could roast.
Odette was a crack up.
She was taking bites out of her pumpkin lid and attempting to eat the seeds that she pulled out.
Maybe we found a vegetable that she might eat!
Each of the kids designed their pumpkins.
I guess Brandt has to grow up sometime, so he got to cut his own and was quite proud that he carved a goatee.
Kathleen named her pumpkin Pigo, which is some character in a story she is writing.
Josselyn wanted hers to be sad and have a human nose. She also told me how to make Odette's--"a huge smile mom". Unfortunately her pumpkin wasn't big enough for a huge smile, but it is smiling non the less.
