I have seen the saying "It doesn't get much better than this".
If this is the case, then why keep trying so hard?
Why have hope for a better tomorrow?
I think it will get much better than this.
Life without sickness?
Perfect bodies?
Happy Families?
No Satan?
It better be much better than this life because that is the only thing that keeps me going on lots of days!
(This is one quote that I strongly dislike.)
Have you heard the Brad Paisley song "It Did"? He talks about all the stages of life and how he thought to himself "It doesn't get better than this" ... and then it did. That's the best way I've ever heard it put, because you're rigtht: if it doesn't get better then what do we have to look forward to? Here's to knowing that it will! :)

ReplyDeleteI wanted to comment a while ago on a post you did about the phrase "I don't know how you do it". I totally agree with you. I've really gotten annoyed with that comment after yrs of infertility treatments and all my husbands deployments. I think some people think they're making you feel strong by saying that but it always made me feel like crap. There's much better things to say to people than that are uplifting instead and that's really what we need.
