We all have trials. Some are big and some are little. I am sure that we don't even recognize some of our trials as a trial because it is a simple one. (If there is such a thing.) And sometimes we are required to help others through their trials or rely on others through our own. No matter how you look at it, a trial is a struggle for each of us to make it through. This is easier said then done if you ask me.
A few years ago when I was going through what I thought was the hardest thing ever, I had a very good and wise friend. She told me,
"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on!"
I think of what she told me quite often. I don't think she has any idea of how helpful this was to me. Sometimes during a trial, there isn't much that you can do. You just need to hold on. If you hold on, eventually "the light will come". I have a CD that I discovered soon after she told me this thought. The song is called
HOLD ON and is absolutely beautiful. (I couldn't find it by the author on my CD, but this version is great also, so click and listen.)
No matter what your trial is, have faith and remember to just tie a knot and hang on. Before you know it you will be climbing back up your rope and the
light will come.
So do you have a big quote book that you keep all of these in or what? I started printing thoughts out to put on my fridge, but they covered it in no time at all.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement today. :)
That is an awesome saying!
